Youghal Celebrates History Conference

This  is a voluntary group dedicated to preserving and promoting our unique heritage in this wonderful walled port town.

The Theme of the Conference in 2016   is :    Youghal through the Ages

In 2016 the conference   will be examining the Historic Town Atlas of Youghal , how it was researched, what it tells us, and a great look at Youghal century by century, street by street. We find the occupations, the changes , the people who walked the streets.

Get to know one of Ireland’s most historic walled towns and see it through the eyes of experts who have spent years getting to know the town! See parts of the town normally not open to the public.

A wonderful weekend is promised!

SUNDAY:
A guided walk of the open and hidden side of Youghal.
(about 3 hours, including coffee) Meet at the Mall Arts Centre at 9.45am
where we divide into groups. Some of the hidden gems we will be
visiting are not normally open to the public, and you are guaranteed a
very special walk around Youghal which will long stay in your memory.
