The Tracton Arts Festival 2016
Now in its second year, the festival will be opened on Wednesday July 6th at 7pm by John Fitzpatrick, director of The International Cork Choral Festival.
The opening will coincide with the private view of two art exhibitions; one by a collective of Tracton artists and the other entitled ‘Colours In A Box’, showcasing the work by students of artist, Victor Richardson.
Other events during the five days will feature performances by Mick Flannery, The Moody Roots, The Light Runners, The Stargazers and Lorraine Hogan with Sam Barker.
Tracton Arts & Community Centre – a beautiful Georgian former schoolhouse – will act as a hub for the festival.
Victor Richardson, said:” The Tracton Arts Festival is an eclectic collection of performances, exhibitions and events so there is something for everyone, from the hugely popular Mick Flannery to the staging of a wonderful one-woman performance by Fiona York in the role of Rose, a wise cracking Jewish woman who has lived a life and seen it all.
