The Kerrygold Ballymaloe Literary Festival of Food & Wine will return once again this year from May 20th – 22nd!
It goes without saying that the LitFest team will be bringing us another exciting line-up of progressive chefs, food & drinks writers, distillers, policy makers and soil experts from all around the world. Some of the highlights this year include Eric Werner & Mya Henry of Mexico’s Hartwood; Patagonian chef Francis Mallmann, Claire Ptak of London’s Violet Bakery; Jeremy Lee of Quo Vadis (host to the London launch of ‘Litfest 16); Nicolaus Bala & Cortney Burns of Bar Tartine; Master of Wine Jancis Robinson, and Hugh Johnson, to name just a handful!
As ‘LitFest’ continues to evolve, it has become so much more than a literary celebration of food and wine. With unprecedented challenges facing food and drinks production, as well as increasingly convoluted global supply chains, the conversation is changing. Everyone from celebrity chefs to artisan food producers and local beekeepers are affected and want to have their say. With this in mind, the theme of LitFest ’16 is: ‘Our Food: What’s The Story?” The Grainstore becomes the central hub of this year’s festival, with a series of thought-provoking and inspiring short talks, presentations and panel discussions taking place throughout the weekend.
