Ballymaloe House have supported Ballycotton Lifeboat with an annual fundraising gala dinner since opening their Yeats Room restaurant in 1964. This year we are hosting a MAD MEN 1960’s themed dinner.
We are delighted to host this event every February, not only because we wish to support and raise awareness and funds to help the incredibly important work our local lifeboat station and crew do, but from a personal point of view, Myrtle and Ivan Allen happened to meet at a Ballycotton Lifeboat fundraising event at Ballymaloe House in the early 1940’s when the house was then owned by the Lichfield family.
Ballycotton Lifeboat and the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) are a soley funded by donations and fundraising activities and rely on them to operate their vital lifesaving service.
