This week at Curraheen Park Greyhound Stadium

We’re looking forward to two great race cards this week at Curraheen Park!

Friday night we have the Final of The Curraheen Park A4 Dual Distance featuring on the race card. The winner on the night will take away €750 and a trophy. Last Friday we had the 550 distance and this Fridays final will see the 6 remaining dogs compete over 575 yards. The tipster recommends any combination of traps 1,2 and 3, ( Gowlane Hawk, Dream Stargazer and Gotnewpairshoes) who are all in with a chance of glory on the night.

Saturday night we have two sets of semi finals on the card. The Guinness Trophy, which is the feature Stake at Curraheen park at the moment, and in it’s 49th year, is down to just the last 12 dogs who will battle it out this weekend for a place in the coveted final. The favourites in the first semi final are Garryglass Ros and Ronnie Rumble, traps 2 and 5. In the second final local hope Ryecourt Fox is expected to continue on with her winning ways from trap 1.

Our other semi finals running Saturday night are the semifinals of The Barryroe GAA A2 Stake. The final will feature on next Saturdays card. Shes a Tornado (trap 1) and Mickys Trickster (trap 4) are the favourites of the first and second semi finals this weekend.

Our Saturday Night Special sponsored by GOBA will run as usual this Saturday, with prize money of €350 for the winner on the night. The Harrington Assessors Getting Out Stakes will also feature on Saturdays race card with €430 prize money going to the winner.

Racing every Friday and Saturday night. Doors at 6.45 with first race at 7.50.
