This week’s racing kicks off on Thursday night 6th June. We have the semi-finals of The Unraced N2-N3 Stake with the winner taking home prize money of €550 and a trophy on the night of the final. Thursday night also hosts the final of the The Midweek A5 525 Stake. The winner of this Stake will receive €800 and a winner’s trophy. The hot favourite for this final is Tooreen Hawk owned by Mr. Denis Keane from Rathmore Co. Kerry.

Friday sees the semi-finals of The Curraheen Park A4 Stake with the lucky winner taking home €1,000 and a winner’s trophy. The ones to watch out for in these semi-finals are Castlelyons Sevi owned by Mr. Eddie Fitzgerald from Castlelyons, Co. Cork and Trumpers Lexi owned by Mr. Colin Ronayne from Mallow, Co. Cork. This Friday is also the beginning of our summer hurdles. To get us started, CurraheenPark welcomes the 1st round of the Cork GOBA Munster Novice Hurdle Stake with €1,000 and a winner’s trophy going to the successful winner.

This Saturday hosts the final of the renowned 2013 Barry’s Tea Open 750 Stake. The anticipated favourites for this Stake are Volcano, owned by Mr. Pat Dalton from Cashel, Co. Tipperary and Ring A Chris owned by Mr. W Robinson and trained by Chris Houlihan from Tralee, Co. Kerry. The winner of this stake takes home €3,200 and a winner’s trophy. There will also be the 1st Round of The Willie Kenny Memorial A2 Stake on Saturday night. This stake is kindly sponsored by family and friends of the late Willie Kenny.
