Castlemartyr Resort is delighted to announce the appointment of Danielle Murrihy as Sales and Marketing Manager.
Danielle has worked with Castlemartyr Resort since October 2015 as a key member of the Sales & Marketing team. Her knowledge and experience garnered through her extensive career within the hospitality industry has been influential to the Castlemartyr Resort’s success in recent years.
Danielle completed her Bachelor of Business in Hotel Management from Galway & Mayo Institute of Technology while working as Accommodation Assistant at Hayfield Manor Hotel, Cork during her studies, the first step into the hospitality industry.
Throughout her career Danielle has gained a host of experience working in the hospitality industry in Ireland and abroad, including the IHG Group in Florida from 2004-2005. Danielle returned to Ireland in 2005, where she took on the role as Conference & Banqueting Manager for Kilkenny Ormonde Hotel overseeing the conference and banqueting operations for the hotel for two successful years.
Danielle joined Lakeside Hotel & Leisure Centre in 2008 where she worked as Operations and Deputy General Manager during her four-year tenure at the Co. Clare hotel. In 2012, Danielle moved to the United Kingdom to take on the role of General Manager for the Hallmark Hotel in Croydon where she excelled in meeting budget and revenue targets, developing relationships with key accounts, and motivating staff to deliver top industry standards.
In October 2015, Danielle returned to Ireland and joined the team at the luxurious 5 star Castlemartyr Resort in East Cork, as Events Executive progressing to the Sales Department and soon taking on her new role as Sales and Marketing Manager in the summer of 2018.
With over 17 years working in the hospitality, Danielle brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to her new role. Speaking about her new appointment Danielle shared, “I am delighted to take on this new challenge at Castlemartyr Resort. As one of the countries leading luxury destinations I’m incredibly exciting to take on the role as Director of Sales & Marketing, leading a brilliant, hardworking and passionate team here at the resort.”
