Children’s Leukaemia Association Monster Benefit Night at Curraheen Park Greyhound Stadium on Saturday April 20th

April 08, 2013

The Children’s Leukaemia Unit is currently based at the Mercy University Hospital, Cork. This will relocate to the Cork University Hospital in the near future. This new Leukaemia Unit will be part of a new Paediatric Unit which will be a ‘Centre of Excellence’ for Paediatric Medical Care in the Munster Region. The CLA are fundraising for this in particular and huge efforts are being made to make this night every success it deserves to be for this extremely worthy cause.

Rosarie O’Donovan Chairperson CLA says “Even though, great progress is being made in cancer research, sadly children are still being diagnosed with Leukaemia and other forms of cancer. We must remain positive and make this difficult time easier for the child and it’s family. The new Leukaemia Unit, which will be based in the C.U.H. will do just that, but it needs a lot of funding to build it.  So please come along for a very enjoyable evening whilst supporting this great cause at the same time”.

Variety is the spice of life and we are all looking for something different. So for a great night out with a difference, and the opportunity to support such a worthy cause why not head along to The Children’s Leukaemia Associations Monster Benefit Night. The atmosphere, the food, the flutter, the craic and of course the top class racing all combine to make a night at the dogs one to remember.

Tickets for their night at the dogs are €10pp or €20 for a family (2 adults and up to 3 children). Doors on the night will be at 6.45 with the first race taking place at 7.50. If you would like to support this very special charity please contact Rose Scanlan for tickets and sponsorship opportunities on the night at CLA Office on 021 4949801 mobile 087 9772495 or email info@cla.ie website.
