Spring Newsletter

A belated Happy New Year to everyone, wherever you are in the world. Here in East Cork, we’ve been braving the wintry weather and staying warm with lots of nourishing soups and comfort food! The time for hibernation is nearly over, however, with Spring just around the corner. So we thought we’d give you a look at some of the things we’re looking forward to in the coming weeks here at Ballymaloe Cookery School.

We’ve been enjoying some lovely feedback about our new and improved Cookery School Brochure. People love the new look! This year, we’ve added some really interesting new courses to the calendar.
• Bake Your Own Sourdough, Yeast & Soda Breads | Wed 8th April
• Start Your Own Guesthouse | Monday 20th April
• Small Plate Ideas | Friday 24th April
We’re also excited to add a new Organic Horticulture series to our gardening courses with Head Gardener, Susan Turner.

The Business of Food and Start Your Own Cafe or Teashop, with industry expert Blathnaid Bergin, are back by popular demand once again this year. Maybe 2015 is the year when you finally make your dream a reality!

We have been delighted to welcome students from 13 different nationalities from all over the world to our January 2015 12 Week Certificate course. Now a third of the way through, they are making fantastic progress, and we’re enjoying some delicious lunches every day!
