Voce di Donna & “You’d be Surprised” at Fota House, 16th October

September 28, 2015

On Friday, 16 October, Fota House is delighted to welcome Voce di Donna for a return visit following their outstanding success of “Disarming Divas and Spicy Roles” in 2014.  Voce di Donna is a unique group with a shared passion for transforming opera into an exciting accessible and affordable theatrical event.   They came together because of their shared passion for opera and the desire to bring it to a wider audience than it currently enjoys

“You’d Be Surprised” is an exciting new production, an extravaganza of song, featuring gems from some of musical theatre’s greatest, including Gershwin, Sondheim, Berlin, Lloyd Webber and many of our modern songwriters.   The timeless lyrics of these songs echo something of our own story, our own experience, our frustration and longings – songs to make us laugh or cry, or simply reminding us of the sheer joy of living.

Meet the Divas and the Darlings, the Bad and the Sad, the Funny girls of the magical musical stage and enjoy hearing songs you know and some that you’ve never heard before…”You’d Be Surprised”.
