“Women’s Wellbeing” – at Fota House
“Feel better, eat better, cope better and look better”. That is the message which will be conveyed at “Women’s Wellbeing” an Information Day on Women’s Health to be held on Thursday, 18th May, at Fota House from 9.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m.
With Summer approaching, and shops full of gorgeous summer fashion, give yourself a treat and learn to cope practically with various aspects of toning, diet, organization, mindfulness and grooming from our Panel of Experts.
Tom O’Flynn is a Health Coach and Personal Trainer, REPS accredited Gym Instructor and Mobility Coach. Based at Fota Island Resort, he has a great interest in functional movement and rehabilitation and also specializes in body transformations and physique changes.
Caroline Fegan graduated with a PhD in Nutrition from UCC and works with the Health Promotion and Improvement Department of the HSE. She is passionate about the fact that good health and great food can be enjoyed simultaneously as part of an overall healthy life style.
Sarah Reynolds is CEO of Organised Chaos a company which leads, supports and coordinates residential and corporate clients through the practicalities of personal and organisational transition. It offers services in the areas of lifestyle, relocation, administration and scheduling.
After an appetising lunch, courtesy of Fota House, Dr. Rosarie Crowley, clinical psychologist with the HSE South, will give an introduction to mindfulness. She says that ten minutes of mindfulness helps to set her up for the day and uses cognitive therapy to help her clients to identify unhelpful thoughts and patterns of behavior and the impact they have on their emotions.
