‘The Much Maligned Mary Pike’ Historical Talk at Kilkenny Centre Shanagarry

All are welcome to attend this fascinating talk presented by local historian Kieran Groeger in the Shanagarry Design Centre.

The talk will discuss ‘The Much Maligned Mary Pike’, a young and wealthy Quaker heiress who was kidnapped in 1797 by Sir Henry Brown Hayes who wanted her fortune. The story features a lot of East Cork, a real treat for locals and history buffs alike!
