Spike Island After Dark 2017

Spike Island After Dark returns!  Its your chance to walk an abandoned prison, sit in a solitary cell, and experience a place of punishment once called Ireland’s hell.  Our guides will take you on a 1300 year journey through Irish history, relaying the stories of our former Monastery, Fortress and Prison.

Up to 2300 inmates were crammed into Spike’s famine era prison in the 1850’s, and many never left as the appalling conditions took their toll.  Ferries depart Kennedy pier, Cobh.  Will you escape from Fortress Spike?
