Mini Beasty Hunt for Families

What is a bug hunt? What equipment do I need? Where do bugs live? Where will I find them? Booking essential. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Bug Hunt 1 at 2pm and Bug Hunt 2 at 3.30pm.

Join Niamh O’Flynn an Animal Scientist (Bsc. Animal Science) and Wildlife Educator on a guided bug hunt and nature walk at Marlogue Woods. She will tell you stories about what a bug is, show you where bugs live ,how to catch them, what they eat, identify the bugs from each other (different shapes and sizes, how many legs, wings, soft or hard shells, etc.) and release the bugs back safely into the woods. She will show you the native flora and fauna within the different habitats of the woods.
