Fota House Presents “Songs for a Summer Evening”
Join versatile vocalist Ryan Morgan (tenor) and accomplished accompanist Alan Carney (piano) for an enchanting evening of song in the beautiful surroundings of Fota House. The duo bring their regular blend of harmony and humour in a programme perfectly suited to a summer evening. The performance will span opera, folk, broadway, jazz and contemporary genres, all performed with their usual panache.
Described as “a remarkable stage presence” (Irish Examiner) and “a sweet tenor” (Sunday Business Post), Ryan Morgan has had the good fortune to sing in some of Ireland’s finest venues as well as having had the honour of singing for President Michael D. Higgins at Cobh’s Centennial Lusitania commemoration. He has also performed for Ministers of State, Foreign Dignitaries and the inaugural voyages of cruise ships!
Alan Carney has been in great demand as a pianist and accompanist for many years. He has recently had the pleasure of accompanying Katherine Jenkins and Jose Carreras at Musgrave Park and is the regular Musical Director of the Everyman Palace Theatre’s highly successful; “Sunday Songbook Series”. In addition he is also the resident organist at the Honan Chapel UCC.
This is an evening not to be missed and as is customary at Fota House a complimentary glass of wine or soft drink will be served at the Interval.
