Grainstore audiences adored Eddi Reader’s concert in February of last year, so we’ve invited her back for a return engagement in 2015.
Eddi first stepped into the limelight with Fairground Attraction and their single Perfect off the album First of a Million Kisses, both of which topped the British charts in the 1980s. She has remained one of popular music’s most thrilling and affecting performers.
It has been her subsequent solo albums which show her gift for assimilating different musical styles and making them her own. From the traditional to the contemporary, Eddi brings to joyous life all forms of song through her rare blend of meltingly true vocals and towering romanticism. Her ability not only to move the listener but to connect her experience to that of her audience combine with an astute and pragmatic nature to make her a unique and powerful figure in contemporary British music.
She has thrilled Irish audiences with the depth and quality of the emotional performance, and we are delighted to welcome her back as part of an national tour promoting her new five-track EP, Back the Dogs.
