Beyond at Fota Island Resort
What can we expect when we visit Beyond?
Beyond is a brand-new concept for the 2017 Fota Island Resort Christmas Experience. Expect to go deep underground with the elves. Expect a regal welcome. There are lots of new characters to guide you on your way. Expect to be entertained for 1 hour to 1,5 hours.
When can we expect to visit Santa Claus?
The visit to Santa Claus will be one of the early experiences in Beyond. This aids younger visitors who just can’t wait to meet the big man himself. Santa is in high demand and therefore this is the only experience subject to time. After the visit to Santa, our guests take their time to enjoy Beyond.
How much are Beyond tickets?
Tickets are priced from €10 – €16 per adult and from €15 – €26 per child. Children under one are free of charge. Price differs according to the date and time of your booking, with peak time slots attracting the higher prices listed.
Is there are ticket charge for babies?
Children under 12 months are free of charge.
What time is the booking line open until on weekends?
The opening times for our reservation phone lines are Monday – Friday 9am-8pm, Saturday 9.30 am-6pm and Sunday 9am-3pm.
What date does Beyond start?
Beyond will begin on the 25th of November and run until the 23rd of December.
What booking time slots are available?
These will vary from day to day and availability will depend on demand – check your required day for the availability that suits but remember to keep an eye on our Facebook for details of more times as they are released.
Can I buy a gift voucher for someone to attend the event?
Gift vouchers cannot be used to buy tickets to the event but can be used around the resort i.e. Hotel & Golf club
Can I buy tickets at the event when I arrive?
It is possible, if there is availability. To avoid disappointment, you are encouraged to book you tickets at www.fotabeyond.ie
Having trouble booking the accommodation package you need?

Will the information about my child which I provided during the booking process, be used by Santa during my visit?
Whilst we will endeavor to ensure that the information you provide during booking is used during the Santa visit element of your Beyond experience , , we do not guarantee that it will be used. Pleaseplease do be aware that there will be a small number of instances where this information cannot be successfully transferred – however your meeting with the Santa will still be filled with Christmas magic!
Do the accommodation packages include the tickets to Beyond?
Yes, they do. You will be contacted within 48 hours after booking by a member of our Reservations team to process your tickets.
Are you offering Group / Corporate packages?
Yes, we offer Group / Corporate packages for both Fota Island Resort and our sister hotel The Kingsley which include a trip to Beyond. Can I add more people to my slot after I have booked?
Yes you can up to a maximum of 12 people to a slot after booking, depending on availability. You will be able to access your booking using your unique code on the Beyond website.
What are the opening times of the Christmas Markets?
The Market will be open approx. 1 hour after the first ticket entrance and closes at the time of the last ticket entrance.
Can I take my own photographs during my visit with Santa?
When visiting with Santa in his log cabin, Family portraits are taken by the official Elf Photographer only, however you are welcome to take photographs around the remainder of the experience and indeed there are a number of staged areas ideal for this opportunity. Remember you can book your photograph with Santa in advance online on check-in or at the photography booth during the event.
What if I forget/lose my photo?
You will receive a ticket during the event with your photograph reference number. The photography elf will issue you with a new printed copy of your picture after the event this will be chargeable, this can only be obtained with the reference number received you can email: firstname.lastname@example.org to obtain your photograph.
What type of present will my child receive?
Those children booked under the Child ticket category will receive an age appropriate gift from Santa. Babies will also receive a small token gift from Santa. Present exchange is available at the market should there be any issue with the gift. We encourage you to open the gift before leaving the property as present exchange by post later will attract a posting and packaging charge.
What if I miss my booking time?
The event is run strictly to time. Please ensure that you arrive on time for your chosen slot as we cannot guarantee that another time will be given. Should you arrive early there is plenty to do & eat in the Christmas market, The Golf Clubhouse and The Hotel. (Please allow ample time for traffic and parking).
Prams and Pushchairs
There will be a “Pushchair Park” available at the event. Prams and pushchairs are strictly limited during the event, please speak to a member of staff if needed.
Wheelchairs / Guide Dogs
Both are welcome at Beyond please speak to the car park attendants for directions and assistance to wheelchair accessible parking.
Car Parking is free of charge to all visitors attending Beyond.
