Situated by the working pier of Ballycotton, Pier 26 is an eclectic mix of old and new: a welcoming traditional pub, an award-winning restaurant, and a stylish, comfortable B&B.
Award-winning Head Chef Colin Hennessy brings together his creativity and experience to ensure you have a fantastic dining experience at any time of day. He is joined in the kitchen by a team of wonderfully skilled chefs who also work incredibly hard to produce ‘simply good food’.
The dinner menus feature fish straight from the sea and locally reared/grown produce. These ingredients, along with a bit of ‘kitchen magic’, result in various tantalising dishes.
Our daytime menu is just as appealing; again using local suppliers, the kitchen creates good, wholesome breakfasts and lunches with a couple of interesting alternatives should you fancy something a little different.
You have to indulge in one of our sweet treats when you visit (or two, or three). As well as traditional cakes and biscuits, you’ll also find other titbits with a bit of a twist…
The pub we now call Pier 26 has existed for over 100 years, with the establishment changing hands five times during that time. The current owners bought what was known as Lynch’s Inn by the Harbour and Pier 26 Restaurant at the end of 2017. Being local, they understood that although a facelift was required, it was essential that the imprint left by preceding generations remained intact.
You’ll still see the rich tapestry of history adorning the walls, with pictures of Ballycotton locals and visitors dating back to the early-1900s. Full of character, warmth and heart, Pier 26 is the perfect mix of old and new.
