Mike Carey @ Wallis Bar

Mike Carey hails from Ladysbridge and has been writing and performing for several years. Mike has had success with a number of songs, including “Seamus Just Wants to be Famous” and “Cycling around Ireland with your Mother on a Bicycle”. “Seamus” launched Mike into YouTube fame, gaining over 100,000 hits in less than a month. Mike has performed the song live on RedFM’s RedZone with Philip Bourke and has been interviewed by multiple national newspapers, including The Irish Daily Star and The Irish Examiner’s Evening Echo.

In addition to his own songs, Mike’s repoirtoire also includes a large range of traditional Irish ballads and sea shanties. When Mike isn’t performing on his own, you can find him singing and playing guitar with his band Hell For Leather.
