Mad Scientist Weekend
Calling all young budding scientists, Fota Wildlife Park is hosting again our very popular Mad Scientist Weekend this week, Sat & Sun July 27th and 28th in the marquee outside the Oasis Cafe from 12 to 4 pm each day
Want to know why the sky is blue? Why some coins turn green? Or how your lungs work? Or what causes static electricity? This is the weekend for you!
Old Cork Waterworks Experience, Tyndall Institute, Learn it – Inspiring the Creators of Tomorrow, Biological, Earth & Environmental Sciences, UCC, Lehane Motors and APC Microbiome Ireland, will be joining our own ‘mad scientists’ for a fun weekend of science!
Experts from the Learn it LEGO® Education Workshops will be present to demonstrate their latest technologies and will provide participants with a fun and informative hands on opportunity.
Fota Wildlife Park’s Education Team will be there to introduce your children to the magic of science and will be showing experiments and providing them with opportunities to explore the wonders of water, light, and magnetism, among others!
Activities Team – will be based in the large marquee from 12 noon with themed Arts & Crafts. (Please note the activities marquee will be closed throughout Mad Scientist Weekend)
