The Nualas are jetting into Ballymaloe Grainstore for one night only, Friday 31 July, with their ‘Great Big Shiny Show’.  The singing comedy trio bring their special brand of faux glamour, acrobatic vocals, nutty lyrics, and endearingly kooky dresses.   As Time Out New York says, ‘The Nualas can sing and make your face ache from laughing,’ while the Edinburgh Fringe Review calls them ‘saucy, sassy, racy, ridiculous.’

They’ll serenade and entertain with original songs such as Stay at Home Dad, The Yummy Mummy Recession Blues, and Yes 2 Love.  The Sunday Times raves that ‘The Nualas have put comedy and music in the blender and come up with a world class act’.

The Scotsman nominated The Nualas one of the top five comedy shows out of the thousands at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.  Their headline gigs at Dublin’s Vodafone Comedy Festival sold out and spread the glam all over from Antrim to Bantry.

Originally formed in 1995, the all-girl trio toured internationally for seven years, playing consecutive sell-out runs at the Edinburgh Festival as well as extended theatre seasons in London, Dublin and New York.  They’ve headlined the first Singapore International Comedy Festival, appeared at the Royal Albert Hall. They chalked up innumerable radio and TV appearances across the globe, including writing and recording several radio series for BBC Radio 4 and appearing on The Late, Late Show.

The Nualas are Anne Gildea (brunette Nuala), Sue Collins (blonde Nuala), and Maria Tecce  (red-head Nuala).
